If you want to be by the sea then you will not get closer than the Grand Metropole Hotel Blackpool. Set just meters away from the seafront on the North promenade, you get amazing views in this grand hotel.

For those wanting to be close to the North Shore and the Blackpool attractions here then this is a great base for your holiday.

You have a choice from 209 rooms at the Grand Metropole Hotel Blackpool. Rooms vary in size and are spacious with plenty of storage space.

The beds are comfy and plenty of spare blankets and pillows in the wardrobe. Coffee and tea making facilities are provided in the rooms.

Bathrooms at the Grand Metropole are modern, very spacious and towels are supplied. The hotel is at a stage where it does need some refurbishment work doing and this does reflect on the price.

On our stay here we got a double room for just £28 for the night. The staff are helpful and polite, the free postcards in the room was a nice touch.

For those that would like to book in early you can arrange this with the Grand Metropole and costs an extra 10.

At the front of the hotel there is a tea room/sitting area which you have fantastic views over the sea and Blackpool North Pier.

The main lounge is spacious and has plenty of seating. Food and drink is available and around the stage area you have a good choice of seating for the evenings live entertainment.

A total of 3 bars are located in the Grand Metropole, 2 restaurants and a games room.

About a 5-10 minutes walk straight up from Blackpool North train station and look to the right, it sits prominently on the seafront.

With trams, buses and taxis practically stopping outside the Grand Metropole getting to and from the hotel is as easy as ever.

Blackpool North Pier is just a few minutes walk away. Blackpool Tower and it’s attractions around 5 minutes walk.

The main shopping area of Blackpool North and the Houndshill shopping centre are around 5-10 minutes walk.

Winter Gardens and The Grand Theatre are about 5-10 minutes walk away for those here catching a show.

Bars and restaurants are within a few minutes away, Popworld and Home nightclubs about 5 minutes away.

The Pleasure Beach and South Shore are around 20-30 minutes walk away but there are plenty of public transport options available.

Central Pier, Coral Island, Madame Tussauds and the SeaLife Centre are around 10-15 minutes away.

Overall the Grand Metropole Hotel Blackpool is a good choice. Yes it does need some work doing to it but as a base for a holiday the location is perfect.

For around £30 a night it’s ideal for those stopping over for a show or event or just passing through and just want a decent bed for the night.

The hotel is family friendly, ideal for couples and parking is available for those bringing a car but does incur a surcharge.

Attractions, shopping, beach, food and drink, piers and shows are all in walking distance making the Grand Metropole a popular choice when looking for a hotel in Blackpool.
